While often mistaken as part of the Aberdares, Mt. Kipipiri stands independently, gracefully detached by Mother Nature from the Aberdares ranges. Rising proudly on the northwest side of the Aberdares, between Geta-bushi and Miharati areas, approximately 150km from Nairobi, it challenges the observer with its commanding presence, overlooking Rurimeria, the third-highest peak in the Aberdare Ranges.
Located near Geta Forest Station, Mt. Kipipiri reaches an elevation of 3348 meters above sea level. The trek to the summit typically takes around 5 hours, while the descent requires 3-4 hours, depending on your energy levels. The community of mountain enthusiasts is eager to share the excitement of this adventurous journey with you. Welcome to the home of mountain lovers, where the thrill of Mt. Kipipiri awaits!
