Embark on a captivating journey with Team Hikemaniak as we explore the picturesque trail in Sagana. Our adventure begins at Blue Hill Hotel, where we cross the Sagana River via a suspension bridge, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
As we traverse the trail, each step unveils breathtaking views of Kilimambogo, the Aberdares, and the Mwea plains. Strategic viewpoints offer a mesmerizing perspective of the river’s journey to the Indian Ocean. Descending into Kimabicho forest service station, we pause to appreciate the scenic Sagana Canyon, a marvel of Mother Nature.
Exiting the forest onto a dusty village road, we follow the century-old railway line, leading us to the awe-inspiring Sagana Canyon. Continuing along the railway line, a footpath guides us to the river-line and Jangwani camp, where a stunning waterfall awaits. If fortunate, a sunset crowns our full-day hike, making it an exceptional reward.
