Longido Hike N Camp in Tanzania offers an exhilarating adventure amidst the breathtaking landscapes of East Africa. Nestled near the Kenyan border, Longido is a small town that serves as a gateway to the captivating Longido Mountain.

As you ascend the trails, you are treated to stunning panoramic views of the surrounding plains and distant peaks. The journey unfolds through diverse ecosystems, from lush forests to arid terrain, showcasing the rich biodiversity of the region.

This March we lead you to the picturesque Mount Longido Hike N Camp Tanzania, just 15km from the Namanga border town. Rising majestically to 2690m above sea level, Longido extends a beautiful welcome to Tanzania from the floor of the Rift Valley. The trail, though fairly steep and occasionally muddy, unfolds a captivating ascent lasting 4 -5 hours to the summit, with the descent taking approximately 2 hours. On clear days, the summit offers panoramic views of both Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro, creating a breathtaking vista.

Trip Itinerary:

Day 1

5:00 am: Meet opposite the International House and commence our journey.

5:15 am: Depart Nairobi for Longido, anticipating a late afternoon arrival to settle at the base of the mountain.

2:00 pm: Arrive at the campsite, settle in, and immerse in the serene surroundings.

4:30 pm: Ascend the viewpoint to witness the enchanting sunset, then return for an overnight stay. Enjoy dinner and an evening around a bonfire.

Day 2

5:00 am: Wake up to a light breakfast and embark on a morning hike.

11:00 am: Summit Mount Longido, relishing the breathtaking views from the top.

2:30 pm: Return to camp for a late lunch and prepare to depart for Nairobi, concluding this Tanzanian escapade.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel more than 2 weeks before your scheduled trip departure, a 50% of the fee will be charged.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled trip departure, no refund fees will be provided.
No-shows are responsible for 100% of trip fees.
