Trail Overview:

Starting Point: Met Station (3,050m asl)

Ascending Through the Forest:

  • Kick off the adventure at Met Station, starting with a stretch and an ascent on a concrete path past the radio mast.
  • Transition into a footpath as the forest belt gives way to the unfolding journey.

Moorland Magic:

  • Traverse the enchanting moorland, experiencing varying bog conditions.
  • Reach the ridge’s summit, revealing the magical Teleki Valley with its flowing river from glacial lakes.

Mackinders Camp (4,300m asl):

  • Approach Mackinders Camp, where, on clear days, high peaks like Point John, Nelion Peak, and Batian (Kenya’s highest point) command attention.
  • Enjoy the panoramic views, capture the essence of the moment, snack, and connect with fellow trail enthusiasts.

High Altitude Adventure:

  • Be prepared for a substantial altitude gain, both mentally and physically.
  • Cover a distance of 10km over 7-9 hours, gaining 1250m in altitude.

Altitude Caution:

  • Prioritize safety. In case of severe high altitude effects, a descent to the starting point is recommended.

Cancellation Policy
  • If you cancel more than 2 weeks before your scheduled trip departure, a 50% of the fee will be charged.
  • If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled trip departure, no refund fees will be provided.
  • No-shows are responsible for 100% of trip fees.
