Join us on the bumpy road less traveled into the valleys near Ganze. Undiscovered ridges, views and a refreshing breeze await you on this journey.

We will park near Nyari Primary School and walk our way to the edge of the Nyari depression. Out of nowhere this dramatic scene will appear. We will follow the edge of this natural phenomenon to the viewpoint, looking into the distance towards Ganze, before entering the depression.

Down in the depression we follow small paths past a sacred tree, where local medicine men still perform traditional practices. We go deeper down into the depression finding a stream bed and different types of soil and erosion.

As the hawks soar over our heads, we play, climb and photograph the natural beauty around us.

After about 2h we head back to the van and return to Kilifi.

Please note this trip covers a short distance, but has steep areas and a few drop off points and risky edges. There is little elevation on this trek. Suitable for children from age 10+.
